Main Location: Montello WI, with travel to Wautoma WI required
Primary Purpose
Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment and assembly aids for the facility and manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
· Troubleshoots by observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble; examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
· Repairs or replaces defective parts by dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; inspecting used parts to determine changes; initiating purchase order for parts and equipment; replacing new or repaired part; starting device to test performance
· Completes additional maintenance related activities by making adjustments to functional parts of devices and control instruments; lubricating and cleaning parts; following PM established schedules; setting up and operating shop tools and electrical test equipment
· Maintains crimp applicators by cleaning, inspecting and modifying as necessary
· Ensures Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program is effective by helping develop and operate program for manufacturing equipment
· Coordinates building and grounds maintenance and additional maintenance related issues and repairs by interfacing with outside contractors, vendors and suppliers
· Assists with the safety effort by maintaining the SDS/MSDS for all chemicals in maintenance
· Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's core values
Qualifications
Required
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1-2 years similar experience
· Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
· Machine maintenance and trouble shooting skills
· Communication and customer service skills
· Familiarity with standard OSHA safety practices
· Resourcefulness
· Flexibility
· Ability to prioritize work
· Basic PC skills
· Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs
Preferred
· Vocational/technical degree
· Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
· Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
· Experience with CLS/AMP, Artos, Komax machines.
· Experience with AMP, Molex, Panduit, Deutsch, Packard terminating presses
· Experience with Panduit tie guns
