Duties
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive, making them feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step in
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide directions within the restaurant
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a professional appearance
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest relations, and phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in hospitality settings
