Job Summary
This positions primary responsibility involves performing all required fleet vehicle scheduled maintenance. This includes minor to moderate repairs including brakes. All maintenance must be reported and documented accurately.
Employees will always be courteous, professional, and polite with clients, customers, and Aries personnel.
Essential Duties
Performing minor to moderate repairs including brakes. Assists Lead Technician in any and all repairs as required. To become fluent in the service and repair of the Braun Wheelchair Lift Systems, including their sub systems. Work on multiple vehicles simultaneously. All maintenance must be reported and documented accurately.
Transports staff to and from destinations; is reliable with good attendance; willing to work as needed; ensures personal appearance is neat, clean and in uniform at all times. Is courteous, professional, and polite at all times. Must comply with any state regulations or Aries client/company policies related to health and safety related to working with colleagues, contractors and clients. Must obey all Federal and State Traffic Laws. 75%
Regularly communicates in a professional manner with all staff, clients and contractors 20%
Maintains good condition of van equipment, general maintenance, including, cleanliness and external physical appearance. 10%
Other duties as requested by supervisor. 5%
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Clean valid drivers license. Entry level mechanical skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Dependable and respectful personality characteristics.
Ergonomic Requirements
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, regularly opening, and closing vehicle doors. All of the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others, or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.
Qualification Standards
High School diploma or GED required, previous driving and mechanical experience a plus.
