What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non Emergency Medical Transportation CDL Wheelchair Driver position at Aries Transportation Services, Inc?
As a CDL Wheelchair Driver, you will provide reliable, caring, and compliant transportation services while creating a positive experience for every rider.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safely transport clients to and from hospitals, doctors’ offices, and adult day care programs
- Assist wheelchair dependent passengers with boarding, securement, and unloading
- Operate vehicles in compliance with Federal, State, and local traffic laws
- Follow all company, client, and health and safety policies
- Maintain professional, respectful communication with riders, coworkers, and management
- Complete required background checks and drug testing as a condition of employment
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Valid Class A, B, or C CDL with passenger endorsement required
- CDL permits are not accepted, must hold a full CDL license
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
- Dependable, safety focused, and respectful demeanor
- Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
