Job DetailsJob LocationIAH - Houston, TXPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionA Customs Brokerage Agent primary duty is the performance of office non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations. The employee's primary duty must include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.Specific Job Duties: Receive, review, and process import documentation from electronic or manual sourcesTrace key transaction information such as Bill of Lading, commercial invoice and other required documents to determine if they comply with 19 CFR regulationsInterface with customers, vendors and fellow employeesMonitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problems or irregularitiesProvide assist with proper classificationProvide excellent and timely customer service on status of incoming shipment to customerInterface with CBP and other Federal Agencies, when need beCoordinate and communicate customs release to carrier and the customerManage deliveries to internal and external trucking companiesInvoicing customers within 4 days after DeliveryManage/Monitor daily electronic tasks and milestones of each shipmentQualificationsTwo years experienceRespond promptly and professionally to customer needsIdentifies and resolves problems in a timely mannerStrong communication skills with multi-faceted and diverse backgroundsBalance team and individual responsibilitiesExcellent customer service skillsHigh School Diploma or GEDPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (optional)Some of the physical tasks and conditions indicated below are likely to be experienced on the job.
