General Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Floor Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire warehouse floor, docking areas, the rear ingress/egress area, drivers coming in and out and the rear lot of the Aries Worldwide Logistics (AWL) in El Paso, Texas. This individual must be a leader of warehouse agents and warehouse clerks by having a leadership attitude, must work in a fast paced environment, and be keenly aware of all traffic in the stated areas at all times during their shift. Also, must be ready to anticipate customer needs and be completely direct traffic on days where a high volume of freight is moving and must use their time wisely to solve existing issues on low volume days.
Specific Job Duties:
- Manage driver traffic.
- Manage parking and keeping a pace for outbound and inbound freight.
- Manage and keep a pace throughout their shift of incoming and outgoing freight in an orderly manner.
- Must be able to document and discuss warehouse agents actions and discuss with District Manager and Warehouse Supervisor.
- Must present company impression and experience with customers in the event customers are invited to the premises and discuss pertinent issues.
- Supports office management team as needed in companywide meetings.
- Assists Inventory Managers and Warehouse Leads in problem solving.
- Additional responsibilities to be determined based on company needs.
- Must show constant improvement in waiting times for Drivers waiting to be offloaded and loaded with freight.
Requirements:
- 3 years experience
- Previous experience promptly and professionally responding to truck drivers and customer requests
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills with multi-faceted and diverse backgrounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must understand patterns with customer freight and anticipate changes.
- Must be able to document and discuss warehouse agents actions
- High School Diploma or GED
