THE DAY TO DAY...
- Food Preparation: Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking. This will often involve washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing these ingredients
- Meal Execution: Uses various kitchen equipment - including ovens, broilers, grills, slicers, and blenders - to prepare dishes
- Kitchen Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensures cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. This may involve cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as the cooking surfaces
- Banquet Set-Up: Helps in setting up the banquet hall, including the arrangement for food, silverware, and plateware
- Food Storage: Manage the storage and rotation of food supplies in accordance with safety standards
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills to work as a team member
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and professional-grade kitchen equipment
- Understanding of health and sanitation regulations
