Position Overview
This role is responsible for tracking garments from development through production, ensuring accuracy in records and adherence to testing requirements. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, third-party testing labs, and garment factories to facilitate garment testing processes. The Coordinator, Testing maintains organized records, manages certification requests, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Tracking & Data Management
- Receive, record, and track garment testing samples using Excel or internal tracking tools.
- Maintain accurate and current records of new styles, colors, and fabrics.
- Distribute approved reference garments to appropriate internal teams.
Testing Coordination & Analysis
- Complete applications for third-party lab testing in alignment with regulatory and performance requirements.
- Analyze test results, escalate issues to the manager, and assist in resolving non-compliance or performance concerns.
- Request and track regulatory and safety certifications from suppliers, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.
Compliance
- Receive, record and track GRS & Oeko Tex certifications.
- Record testing in COC database.
- Create GCC/CPC certificates for import & CPSC e-Filing & upload into SharePoint Site.
- Upload Bill of Materials to help create transaction ccertificates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams (including Product Development, Sourcing, and Compliance) to meet deadlines and production needs.
- Communicate effectively with garment factories regarding testing requirements and certification updates.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- 2 years of experience in a testing, compliance, quality assurance, or product development role within the apparel or consumer goods industry
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards relevant to intimate apparel, including CPSC regulations, GCC/CPC certification requirements, and CPSC e-Filing processes
- Knowledge of or exposure to sustainability certifications such as GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and Oeko-Tex
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint; comfort working with internal tracking databases (e.g., COC database)
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail — ability to manage multiple styles, colors, and fabric records simultaneously without errors
