The candidate should have expertise in Agile methodologies, process mapping, workflow optimization, and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support requirements gathering sessions to define and document business needs for federal programs.
- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending effective solutions.
- Facilitate process mapping and workflow optimization efforts to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business requirements and system functionalities.
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business requirements and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to ensure successful system integration and implementation.
- Support Agile teams in the development and refinement of user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
- Participate in the development and execution of testing plans, ensuring that systems meet business requirements and expectations.
- Assist in system deployment activities, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
- Provide expertise and guidance to junior business analysts and project teams.
- Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring that they are addressed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a business analyst or SME, with at least 5 years supporting federal programs. Proven expertise in process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integration.
- Expertise in business process mapping and workflow optimization.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, system deployment, and testing practices.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring seamless communication.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis.
- Experience with various software tools for business analysis, project management, and system documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Certifications:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent preferred.
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent preferred.
