Security Sciences Senior Project Manager

Salary: UPTO $75JOB DESCRIPTIONOTI Cyber Commands Security Sciences division manages citywide security initiatives and software engineering projects through industry standard Project Portfolio Management (PPfM) frameworks. PPfM focuses on doing the right projects at the right time by selecting and managing projects as a portfolio of initiatives to promote Citywide Cybersecurity.SCOPE OF SERVICESA seasoned project manager is required to support Cyber Command leadership in the management and optimization of its portfolio of established citywide cybersecurity programs and evolving suite of cybersecurity controls deployment. These programs have significant complexity across many City agencies, stakeholders, other cybersecurity entities in government and the private sector, and our information-sharing partners. The PM will work directly with Security Sciences program managers, its FTEs, consultants and vendors; coordinate with legal, contracting, finance, and communications teams to manage multi-functional team coordination, opportunity screening, develop RFI and RFP, benefit/cost analysis, vendor selection, work plan scheduling, budget oversight, contractor management, issue resolution, reporting and project closeout functions.RESPONSBILITIES:Translating leaderships vision into an achievable implementation planAssist in the tracking and reporting of Organizational ObjectivesLead daily project meetings in accordance with Security Sciences established policiesDevelop detailed project plans to monitor and track progressManage Proofs-of-Concept (PoC) trials for new technology solutions as part of ongoing projects or as independent projectsConduct frequent risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses to identify and resolve issues that may disrupt projectsCoordinate and manage the overall service or product provided to a customer end-to-endProvide weekly project reports and metrics to key stakeholdersLiaise with other internal teams to track project completion.MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be consideredMinimum 8 years of experience managing technical projectsAt least one year of agile development experienceAt least one year of experience managing DMARC implementation projects and programsAt least one year of experiencing managing enterprise level email security projects and programsAt least one year of experience managing projects focused on network intelligence and network security monitoringDegree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information System Management, Business Administration (or significant coursework in these areas)Prior experience working with local, state, or federal government entities.Experience leveraging Jira, Salesforce, ServiceNow or other modern project management tools to manage technical projects.DESIRABLE SKILLSExceptional written and verbal communication skills.Industry recognized project management certifications (ex: PMP, CSM, CSP-SM)SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSRemote, on-camera interview & Secondary in-person interview.Recruiter confirms certificates and degrees of the final candidate proper to onboarding.Recruiter conducts background check on candidates and provides notice to hiring team of any red flags.Occasional support outside of core business hours to accommodate 24/7/365 operation.At Ariel Partners, we solve the most difficult problems that inhibit technology from enabling our customers to achieve their goals.
