Duties
- Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to ensure lush, healthy turf
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree trimming, watering, fertilizing, and pest control
- Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (weed whackers, blowers) safely and efficiently
- Use equipment like excavators for larger projects or site preparation under supervision
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and making necessary repairs
- Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools effectively
- Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques and horticulture principles
- Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently for planting, pruning, and general upkeep
- Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as excavators for construction or large-scale landscaping projects
