About the Role
At Ariat, we are seeking a proactive Material Master Analyst to drive efficiency and innovation across our growing business.
The Material Master Analyst will report to the Material Master Manager and work closely with the Product Merchandisers, Retail, and IT teams to deliver high quality data that optimize our operations.
This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining material records, resolving data inconsistencies, and driving process improvements. The person in this role will make an immediate impact by ensuring accurate and timely material master data, supporting our mission and organizational objectives.
You’ll Make a Difference by
- Creating materials in SAP manually or through the upload programs based on information provided on source files
- Collaborating with Product Merchandising, Retail and IT teams to resolve questions, inconsistencies, and missing data in source files
- Reviewing and processing material record/purchasing info record maintenance request manually or through the upload programs.
- Monitoring the “mmsupport” mailbox to ensure timely resolution of requests and providing guidance to Material Master coordinators as needed
- Understating the context behind the Material Master requests and issues, analyzing areas in need of improvements, and actively driving innovation discussions with the Material Master team and cross functional business partners
- Creating and maintaining style setup and maintenance calendar to ensure adherence to deadlines
- Creating and maintaining Material Master related process documentation
- Performing User acceptance testing and actively supporting change management for SAP or any other relevant system enhancements/upgrades
- Analyzing, monitoring, and measuring quality of master data in accordance with data standards, policies and procedures and implementing corrective actions and communication plans in case of faulty/missing data
- Managing PLM style review and approval process for seasonal set ups and late adds
- Providing training and guidance to the Material Master coordinator(s) and serving as a backup for Material Master manager specific tasks
- Developing an in dept understanding of upstream systems and downstream Material Master data impacts on business processes and seeking out improvement opportunities
- Generating reports and queries in response to inquiries from Product Managers
- Participating in cross-functional team meetings to review major milestones, and processes aimed at continuous improvement.
- Performing other job-related duties and projects and issue troubleshooting as assigned
- Contributing to the team effort to accomplish common goals.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP master data files and how they are used in Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Control
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills within various levels of organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with Smartsheet, Tableau, Cognos, or SAP reporting capabilities is a plus
- Detail oriented with proven ability to maintain a very low error ratio
- Carry out multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines
- Customer-centric, analytical growth mindset
- Quick learner with respect to processes and procedures within SAP as well as new systems and tools
- Ability to make connections for upstream and downstream processes and systems
- Love data analysis and data story telling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

The hourly range for this position is $30 - $33 per hour.
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
