What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Clerk position at Aria Community Health Center?

As a Federally Qualified Health Center and licensed primary care clinic, we provide comprehensive medical and dental services, along with specialized care in Chiropractic, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics, Psychology, Podiatry, and Optometry. With clinics located across Fresno, Kings, and Tulare counties, our team works together to deliver accessible, high-quality care to every patient.
RESPONSIBILITES
Work alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and are responsible for basic tasks such as answering phones, assisting patients and stocking shelves.
EXAMPLES OF TASKS
- Answering phones, forwarding calls, taking messages and assisting patients.
- Stocking shelves, cleaning work areas and sterilizing containers.
- Order and organize medications and supplies, and label drugs as well.
- Work directly with patient data and complete tasks such as preparing insurance forms and maintaining patient profiles.
SKILLS
- Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use computer for day to day tasks
- Basic Math Skills
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- 1 years of customer service experience preferred

- Motor Function & Mobility:
- Ability to move within the work environment to complete tasks and interact with others.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Frequent standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and other movements typical of a standard workday.
- Regular use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, operating tools or equipment, and handling materials.
- Some pushing and pulling required during daily tasks.
