What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Aria Community Health Center?
ACHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center and licensed primary care clinic. We provide medical and dental care, with additional specialists in Chiropractic, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics, Psychology, Podiatry and Optometry. ACHC Clinics are located across Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties.
The Pharmacy Delivery Driver is responsible for the successful delivery of prescriptions from pharmacy to area clinics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate gasoline, electric, or diesel-powered company vehicles to transport prescription drugs between destinations in a safe manner consistent with all ACHC rules and state and federal regulations.
- Check before every trip, the condition of a vehicle's operational and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in safe working condition. Fill out daily vehicle inspection form. Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs to their manager. Prepare and submit reports that include the number of trips, trip purpose, mileage, prescription delivery manifests, returns, etc. Turn in trip sheets, fuel receipts, payments and manifests daily and pre-trip inspection sheets in weekly.
- Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
- Comply with all traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to the proper personnel.
- Deliver prescriptions at scheduled locations, following time schedules.
- Pick up unsold prescriptions and receipts from clinics and return to pharmacy.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Operate telephone / cell phone for communication with pharmacy.
- Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
- Present a professional appearance.
- Assist in pharmacy maintenance including but not limited to sweeping, taking out trash, dusting shelves, cleaning surfaces.
- Operate pharmacy point of sale system.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, establish priorities and adapt to change.
- Ability to work with staff and community.
- Possess patience, good organizational skills, assertiveness, and be a conscientious person.
- Must possess a valid, properly classed driver license with a safe driving record.
- Due to insurance and regulatory requirements, employee must be 21 years of age or older.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain certification and knowledge of first-aid procedures and CPR.
