We have an exciting opportunity for a Power Systems Software (PSW) Test Engineer with experience in embedded software validation, regression testing, HIL systems, and automotive ECM platforms.
Role: Power Systems Software (PSW) Test Engineer
Location: Peoria, IL
Salary: $70K – $75K
Work Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute regression test suites and perform preliminary failure analysis
• Identify, document, and communicate software defects and anomalies
• Analyze test results and support root cause investigations
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve embedded software issues
• Maintain and improve regression test infrastructure and automated testing processes
• Review ECM hardware/software requirements and create test plans and automated test scripts
• Develop and maintain wire harnesses for testing environments
• Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and associated configurations
• Develop and maintain C-based test applications for Power Systems Software validation
• Support continuous improvement activities for software validation processes and tools
Required Skills:
• Strong programming experience in Python and C
• Experience with embedded software testing, validation, or development
• Knowledge of Power Systems Software (PSW) architecture
• Understanding of HAL architecture in AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR ECM platforms
• Experience developing automated test scripts and test applications
• Strong troubleshooting and preliminary failure analysis skills

• MATLAB/Simulink
Preferred Background:
• Experience with Engine Control Modules (ECMs) and automotive embedded systems
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and embedded software development processes
• Experience designing wire harnesses for testing environments
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in embedded software testing, validation, or development
