Reports to: VP, Solution Innovations

Location: Remote (Preference given to those in Northern Virginia/D.C. metro area due to client interface needs)

What you’ll do:

Take on a leadership role in acquisition transformation by managing the ARI Solutions Marketplace, a cutting-edge, fully compliant end-to-end acquisition platform for the government. As the key driver of its Appian-based development, you will oversee the information technology infrastructure, workflows, and configuration management that enable smooth operations for critical clients, including DARPA, the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office, the Air Force, the Army, and the Intelligence Community. This position offers the opportunity to lead product management, configuration oversight, and operational execution of the ARI Solutions Marketplace Platform on Appian. You will serve as the primary point of contact among platform users, internal developers, and external support teams, ensuring functionality across submission portals, assessment workflows, and compliance review processes. The Product Manager will focus on platform performance, uphold architectural integrity, maintain the product backlog, and explore the responsible, scalable integration of emerging technologies like AI into the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day execution and operations of the ARI Marketplace Platform, ensuring system reliability, performance, and user satisfaction

2. Serve as the primary point of contact between Appian, internal development teams, and external support contractors

3. Manage platform configuration control, baseline management, and release cycles to ensure consistency and stability across deployments

4. Lead product lifecycle management, including roadmap development, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and feature delivery

5. Ensure effective operation of submission portals, assessment workflows, and compliance review modules within the marketplace

6. Maintain a cohesive and scalable system architecture aligned with mission needs and future growth

7. Monitor, evaluate, and integrate new Appian features and capabilities to enhance platform performance and user experience

8. Identify, assess, and implement AI-enabled capabilities within the platform in a secure, ethical, and mission-aligned manner

9. Oversee helpdesk operations, user support processes, and issue resolution to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

10. Manage stakeholder engagement, gathering requirements from government customers, solution providers, and internal teams to inform product improvements

11. Ensure all platform activities align with security, compliance, and federal regulatory requirements

12. Coordinate platform deployments and updates, ensuring proper configuration and alignment with customer requirements

13. Develop and track key performance metrics, user analytics, and system health indicators to drive continuous improvement

14. Identify risks to platform performance or delivery and implement mitigation strategies

15. Support documentation development, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and technical requirements

16. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, operations, and business development teams

17. Represent the platform in internal and external briefings, demonstrations, and stakeholder engagements as needed

Required Qualifications to Apply:

General:

• United States citizen; current or ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field

Experience:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in product management, platform management, or enterprise application delivery
• Experience managing workflow-based platforms, digital marketplaces, or similar enterprise systems
• Hands-on experience with Appian; Appian Certified Developer or higher certification strongly preferred
• Experience managing product backlogs, Agile development processes, and cross-functional delivery teams
• Familiarity with submission systems, evaluation workflows, and compliance processes within federal or regulated environments
• Knowledge of Department of Defense or federal government operations strongly desired
• Experience interfacing with technical teams, external vendors, and government stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage platform deployments, configuration management, and system integrations
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, and their application within enterprise platforms
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer
• Experience managing platforms within innovation ecosystems, OTAs, or defense acquisition environments
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, and IL-level environments
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise platforms
• PMP, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or equivalent certification

Salary:

$155,000 to $175,000/year, depending on location, experience, and other factors.

Travel Requirements:

This position may require up to 10% travel to partner sites and relevant events or conferences.
