Role Summary

The Enterprise Data Specialist will be responsible for designing, modeling, and implementing enterprise data warehouse (EDW) solutions that support core business functions. This role will focus on data architecture, integration, and modeling to ensure data consistency, integrity, and availability across the organization. The specialist will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data development groups to deliver robust and scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and enable advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to define, document, and deliver data architecture and modeling solutions.
Architect and design enterprise data warehouse solutions, sourcing data from multiple insurance and reinsurance policy, treaty, claims, and financial systems.
Develop Source-to-Target (S2T) mappings optimized for high-volume data integration.
Create and maintain logical and physical data models on SQL Server platforms.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate translation of data mappings into code.
Design and implement data ingestion, collection, and validation strategies using SQL-based solutions.
Build SQL Server views to support reporting and dashboard development.
Support business reporting teams in leveraging enterprise data models for analytics.
Troubleshoot, tune, and optimize SQL, ETL processes, and Informatica mappings.
Participate in release planning, testing, and post-deployment validation.
Technical Qualifications
10 years of experience in data architecture, design, and enterprise data warehouse development.
3 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance domain.
Advanced expertise in extracting data from insurance applications.
Strong knowledge of ETL, BI architecture, and data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in creating and tuning semantic layer reporting views.
Experience facilitating data discovery sessions with business SMEs.
Hands-on experience with RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, DB2, etc.) and DDL scripting.
General Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Knowledge of insurance and financial applications, particularly Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire Claims Center, SAP FS-CD, and SAP FI-GL.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field.
