Supply Chain Mirector
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sourcing goals of the manufacturing facility
- Implement action items to ensure sourcing goals are achieved.
- Manage buyers, warehouse, and shipping personnel to meet stated goals and objectives.
- Manages & oversee the Sales and Operations Planning process to ensure appropriate forecasting of material purchases both short term and long term.
- Direct Supply Chain team working cross functional teams during new product development
- Direct Supply Chain resources in establishing & maintaining vendor management programs.
- Forecast and maintain supply of subassemblies and components
- Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier competencies and competitive positioning.
- Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to identify supply issues and opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging market options.
- Develop, establish, and provide for the maintenance of reporting systems that relate to the supply chain function
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout supply chain
- Calculate and monitor optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying cost & transportation charges.
- Manage the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse and shipping personnel.
- Determines and administers policies and procedures relating to shipping/receiving and storage of equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Manage and/or establish processes for inventory management and supervise inventory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field
- MBA Preferred
- 10 years of experience managing Supply Chain processes/departments
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly processes, inventory control, MRP Systems implementation and distribution.
- APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP) required.
- Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
- Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements & contracts
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Direct Hire
$130-$150K Bonus
