Forklift Operator / General Labor – 2nd & 3rd Shift
A stable industrial recycling/manufacturing facility in Delavan, WI is seeking one experienced Forklift Operator / General Laborer for 2nd shift and 3rd shift. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a dirty, dusty, industrial environment.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Position Overview
This role supports daily plant operations through a combination of forklift operation, small equipment use, and general labor duties. Employees may work in different operational zones but will perform similar core functions focused on safety, cleanliness, and material handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and small equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, shoveling, lifting, and moving materials.
- Remove materials from production lines and screens that pose safety or quality risks.
- Maintain cleanliness of platforms, conveyors, and surrounding work areas.
- Identify and remove oversized, sharp, stringy, or hazardous debris from processing areas.
- Support production flow by keeping assigned zones clean and clear of obstructions.
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards immediately.
Work Zones May Include
- Zone 1: Removal of plastics, metals, paper, cardboard, and stringy materials.
- Zones 2 & 3: Monitoring and cleaning fines, oversize, and trash screens containing sharp or hazardous debris.
- Cleaning areas under conveyors, hoppers, pulleys, and air lock systems.
Qualifications
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred).
- Experience with small industrial equipment strongly preferred.
- Ability to stand and remain active 8–10 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in a dirty, dusty, industrial environment.
- Strong attendance, positive attitude, and solid work ethic are essential.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
