What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Service Tech Support position at Argus Professional Services?
Our client is seeking Service Support Engineers to join their team. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and pay is up to $32/hr based on experience.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This position provides technical phone-based support to customers, Field Service Engineers, and internal staff. The focus is on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to industrial machinery, including mechanical and electrical systems (software knowledge is a plus but not required).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Troubleshooting equipment issues via phone and virtual support
· Supporting customers and Engineers in the field
· Assisting with repairs, diagnostics, and parts identification
· Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical prints
· Documenting service activity and contributing to technical knowledge resources
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Two-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Background in machinery or industrial equipment industry
· Ability to read bills of material (BOM), schematics, and assembly drawings.
· Must demonstrate competency in both mechanical and electrical assemblies.
· Knowledge and experience using Windows operating system and environment.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
· Must demonstrate exceptional telephone etiquette.
· Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and behavior.
· Must be able to multi-task.
· Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a calm and collected composure.
· Must adhere to appropriate office etiquette and protocol.
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
