What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant Combo position at Argus Medical Management, LLC?
ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250 physicians in over 100 clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas. We currently have an opening for a Full-Time Medical Assistant Combo. Experience in Family Practice preferred.
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Pay: $21-24 per hour
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 hour shift
BACK OFFICE DUTIES:
- Greet and room patients; obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist the provider during visits and minor procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and in-office laboratory testing
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed.
- Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA standards.
FRONT OFFICE DUTIES:
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and update patient demographics.
- Document all encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Process referrals, lab orders, and prior authorizations.
- Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients in a professional manner.
- Support the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years' MA experience, required
- Experience in Family Practice, preferred
- MA Certified
- CPR Certified
