Pay: $23.15 - $31.07 per hourJob description:Mechanical Designer - DIRECT HIRELocation: Green Bay, WIRequired: Associates in Design/EngineeringShift: 1st Shift – 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.mEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to support metal fabrication projects by creating accurate technical drawings, layouts, and production documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed technical drawings and flat patterns for metal fabrication projects.Create and interpret 3D models using Autodesk Inventor based on sketches and conceptual designs.Ensure all dimensions, specifications, and design details are clearly labeled and accurate.Generate precise Bills of Materials (BOMs) to assist with estimating and material takeoffs.Interpret sheet metal, mechanical, and structural drawings from both internal and external sources.Utilize company-specific programming software to support production processes.Accurately track and record time spent on customer projects, ensuring all billable hours are logged in the ERP system via the Data Collection App.Maintain organized project files within the company database.Perform additional duties as assigned.Personal CompetenciesHighly motivated, dependable, and eager to learn new processes.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Education & Technical QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and related software.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate dimensions, volumes, and geometric measurements.Experience with sheet metal layout and fabrication required.SolidWorks experience is a plus.Workplace CompetenciesTeam-oriented mindsetAdaptable and flexibleCustomer-focused approachCommitment to workplace safetyJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceYou should be proficient in:Mechanical Design & EngineeringMachines & technologies you'll use:3D Modeling (Solidworks, AutoCAD)ERP Software
