Argus is seeking an experienced Staff Controls & Integration Engineer II to join our team of innovators. What You’ll Do
- Lead design, specification, and procurement of PLC hardware, networking infrastructure, and HMI platforms.
- Develop control system upgrades and full replacements, from quoting through commissioning.
- Program, configure, and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system startup.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client and code requirements.
- Conduct site visits and support compliance verification.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning and technical excellence.
- Partner with vendors and manage contractor efforts.
- Support business development efforts by engaging with senior leadership and helping shape solutions.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 6 years of controls/automation engineering experience.
- Expertise with multiple PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Modicon/Schneider, GE, Omron).
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware).
- Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, MQTT).
- Experience configuring and utilizing virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong Networking knowledge: VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, DMZs, segmentation, secure remote access/monitoring.
- Experience in programming/scripting languages: Python, Visual Basic, C, JavaScript.
- Relational database experience (SQL, DB2) preferred.
- Prior contractor management/oversight experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high quality standards.
