We are currently hiring for a full-time onsite Human Resources Generalist located in our South Bronx Administration office. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members of the HR team and the executive team supporting the overall mission of the organization.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, benefits administration, employment, policy and procedures, training and development, and employment law compliance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee & execute full cycle of DOL Unemployment inquires, payments, and unemployment hearings.
- Maintain employee talent profiles in HRIMS, including credentials and licensures.
- Establish & maintain hiring avenues; relationships; including staffing and intern recruitment sources (i.e. training institutes, schools, temp and employment agencies).
- Oversee & maintain open positions job postings & rosters.
- Update and maintain all recruiting platforms, as needed.
- Support hiring process and guidelines; ensuring hiring packages are complete, accurate, and in-line with agency standards.
- Prescreen candidates via telephone interviews (where applicable).
- Support programs in conducting the interview process for open positions (when applicable).
- Ensure all staffing changes, job descriptions, writing samples and credentials are updated and maintained to agency guidelines.
- Support the full cycle of benefit processes and procedures.
- Provide analytic reports to the executive team, as needed.
- Advise management on implementation of policy and procedures as they relate to agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Criteria:
2-4 years of full cycle of employee benefits administration
2-4 years of HRIS knowledge and execution
2-4 years of full cycle of DOL experience
2-4 years of HR Generalist experience
Other Requirements /Criteria:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional organizational & office administration skills with the ability to multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work independently, complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Collaborate and work within a team environment.
Exhibits professionalism when interacting with others and works to maintain great working relationships.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
