General purpose of the job
This position reports to the Quality Coordinator. The primary role of this position is to provide sampling and standardized testing to ensure raw materials and manufactured products meet quality standards, while documenting and communicating these results accurately. The position will provide general support to the quality department and may work with other departments as assigned.Individual accountabilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Education
Educational Level: High School Diploma.
Higher education in related fields, such as chemistry and mathematics preferred.Area of experience
0 - 3 years.
Basic knowledge of chemistry and mathematics required. (May be subject to Quality Testing).Languages
English C2

- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to work effectively following all plant safety policies and safe work practices.
- Demonstrated ability, in current job, to deliver quality work in a timely fashion with minimal rework.
- Must be able to perform a repetitive task exactly and accurately under a strict timeline.
- Must be able to document test results exactly and accurately.
- Must be able to identify known patterns hidden in extraneous data as well as be able to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
- Must be able to interpret and follow instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with other employees. This includes the ability to communicate information verbally and in writing so others will understand.
- Must be able and willing to work a rotating 12 hour schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, and callouts.
- Must be self-starter with sound judgment and a positive attitude.
- Perform equipment checks.
- Ensure regular communication with Production Control Supervisor.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks on needed equipment.
- Perform additional responsibilities as directed by supervision.
- Must be able to operate mobile equipment as needed.
- Complete plant clean up as assigned.
