Key Responsibilities
- Research & Strategy
- Conduct thorough keyword research and topic clustering based on SEO briefs
- Stay updated with the latest in SEO trends and algorithm updates
- Analyze SERPs and competitor content to find content gaps and opportunities
- Content Creation
- Write and optimize long-form articles, service pages, and blog posts (1,200–3,500 words)
- Translate complex clinical concepts into accessible, reader-friendly content
- Create content that aligns with EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) principles
- Incorporate SEO best practices, including internal linking, structured headings, and semantic keywords
- Editing & Optimization
- Collaborate with editors to revise content for tone, accuracy, and clarity
- Optimize existing content to improve ranking and engagement
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, compliance and industry regulations (HIPAA, DSM-5 references, etc.)
- 3 years of experience writing SEO content, with a portfolio focused on behavioral health or healthcare
- Deep understanding of behavioral health topics (e.g., substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapy models)
- Strong familiarity with SEO tools like Surfer SEO, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
- Excellent grammar, research, and storytelling skills
- Ability to write both empathetically and technically
- Comfortable with deadlines and managing multiple content projects at once
- Experience working in or writing for treatment centers or mental health organizations
- Knowledge of Google’s Helpful Content Update and how it affects content strategy
