What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payments and Digital Services Supervisor position at Argent Federal Credit Union?
ROLE PURPOSE
Supervises and directs the operations of the Payments and Digital Services Department to include scheduling, timesheet review, personnel evaluations, training, and new product and services implementation. Receives general guidance on work priority with substantial employee latitude.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the daily operations of the Payments and Digital Services Department to ensure the area is meeting deadlines, working within established procedures, and supporting mission, values, goals and policies of the credit union.
- Reviews department reconcilements and assists the staff in the research and clearing of outstanding general ledger reconcilements.
- Prepare monthly statistical and board reports for the department.
- Enthusiastically supports and leads by example the credit union mission, values, goals and policies.
- Provides exceptional service to both internal and external members.
- Contributes to the team achievement of departmental goals by meeting or exceeding individual goals.
- Assists in the development of goals for the area.
- Monitors goals and performance standards for the area.
- Develop staff for career progression with regularly scheduled coaching sessions and training.
- Ensure the area is staffed appropriately and back up the Payments and Digital Services Department desks when needed for coverage.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations, providing recommendations for career development, promotion, and/or salary adjustment as appropriate.
- Ensures that the area is in compliance with regulatory and vendor rules and regulations.
- Recommend changes to the Director of Payments and Digital Services to improve the efficiency of the area.
- Assists Director of Payments and Digital Services with coordination and implementation of projects, procedures, and other assigned duties.
- Communicates with other departments about Payments and Digital Services activities and procedure changes which may affect them.
- Implements and maintains the policies and procedures of the area.
- Ensures financial security by following internal controls and maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Actively participates in all staff meetings in order to maintain awareness of organizational issues, promotional campaigns, stays current on policies, procedures, compliance and makes suggestions for improvement.
- Works to increase knowledge, technical skills and professional development through available internal and external sources.
- Works as a member of the Argent Credit Union team to ensure achievement of the credit union’s mission and goals.
- Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate.
