Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks to deliver construction materials to various job sites, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand tools
- Assist with yard organization by stacking materials, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe workspace
- Support construction crews by transporting tools, equipment, and supplies as needed throughout the workday
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Follow safety protocols consistently to prevent accidents and promote a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups efficiently, minimizing delays
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL license is a plus but not required
- Experience operating trucks or similar vehicles preferred
- Ability to operate basic yard equipment such as forklifts or skid steers (training provided if necessary)
- Strong physical stamina; capable of lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site managers
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation and yard operations
