Lead Structured Cabling Technician
FLSA: Full-time, Non-exempt
Location: MD, DC, VA & CT
This position will be supporting our Commercial and Government clients. Ideal candidates will have installation, terminating and testing copper and fiber optic cable experience as well as installation of Electronic Security Systems experience. Multiple positions available for a wide range of technical skill levels. These are permanent positions with growth potential.
Essential Job Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Installation of Copper and Fiber Optic cabling systems for both OSP and ISP projects
Terminate, test and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling
Shipboard cable installation
WAP installation
Complete closet build-outs
Design, installation, and servicing IDS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems
Troubleshoot system issues and provide resolution
Complete daily documentation for work performed
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum of 5 years of installation experience
Familiarity with trade test equipment
Ability to read and work from prints and diagrams
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong work ethic and desire to provide exceptional customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must provide basic hand tools specific to the trade
Work well independently as well as with a team
Candidates are required to have satisfactory driving record
Ability to pass pre-employment as well as random company drug testing
