The Opportunity
The Client Service Manager is a senior team member reporting to the Head of Client Service, with primary responsibility for supporting ARGA’s client/consulting relationships and business developments efforts through RFPs, questionnaires, consultant databases, publications and other content.
The Client Service Manager leads the firm's global RFP function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accurate, and compelling responses that support client retention, consultant relationships, and new business development. This role serves as the central coordinator across investment, operations, compliance, legal, risk, sustainability, and client-facing teams to articulate the firm's investment capabilities, competitive differentiators, and operational strengths.
The successful candidate will build and maintain a scalable RFP infrastructure, oversee content management, drive process improvements, and lead a team supporting institutional plan sponsor and consultant-driven business opportunities.
This role is critical to articulating the firm's investment process, supporting growth initiatives, and ensuring institutional investors and consultants receive accurate, compelling, and differentiated information about the organization and its capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
· Lead and manage the RFP, DDQ, consultant database, and content management functions.
· Develop and execute a strategic vision for the firm's proposal and due diligence processes.
· Establish best practices, service standards, and performance metrics for the RFP team.
· Support business development and client retention objectives.
Proposal Management
· Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and client/consultant questionnaires.
· Ensure responses are accurate, consistent, compliant, and delivered within deadlines.
· Manage proposal prioritization and resource allocation across business opportunities.
· Coordinate cross-functional input from investment, operations, compliance, technology, and sustainability teams.
Content & Knowledge Management
· Maintain and enhance the firm's proposal content library and knowledge management platform.
· Ensure investment, performance, organizational, operational, and sustainability content remains current and accurate.
· Develop standardized templates, messaging frameworks, and reusable content to improve efficiency and quality.
Stakeholder Management
· Serve as a key liaison between business development, client service, investment professionals, and support functions.
· Support consultant relations initiatives by managing consultant database updates and requests.
· Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent messaging in all client-facing materials.
Process Improvement & Technology
· Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve workflow efficiency and automation.
· Utilize RFP management platforms and AI-enabled tools to streamline proposal production.
· Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the proposal function.
Qualifications
· 10 years of experience in RFP, consultant relations, institutional marketing, client service, or business development within asset management or investment consulting.
· Demonstrated leadership experience managing proposal teams and complex cross-functional projects.
· Deep understanding of institutional investment products, asset classes, investment processes, and operational due diligence requirements.
· Experience with RFP management systems and consultant databases (e.g., Dasseti, Qvidian, eVestment, Callan).
· Exceptional writing, editing, project management, and organizational skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high-priority deadlines simultaneously.
Compensation
Total compensation will be highly competitive and commensurate with experience, skills, and contribution. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus. Compensation may also vary based on education, training, and market conditions.
