Allied Reliability is seeking experienced FSQ (Food Safety & Quality) Technicians for a long-term assignment with strong potential for permanent, full-time employment with one of our premier food manufacturing clients in Columbus, OH.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading food manufacturing operation where you'll play a critical role in ensuring product quality and food safety compliance.

What You'll Do

As an FSQ Technician, you'll be responsible for:

• Quality Assurance Audits: Perform comprehensive audits on incoming products, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure they meet regulatory and company quality standards
• Food Safety Monitoring: Monitor daily adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Compliance & Documentation: Verify regulatory formula and procedural compliance, document reviews, and ensure all requirements are met
• Testing & Analysis: Evaluate Certificate of Analysis (COA) data against specifications and take appropriate corrective action
• Reporting: Generate detailed reports including specification notices, trend analysis, and quality/food safety issues using Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP Transactions: Process transactions in SAP to release products from QA hold
• Collaboration: Work closely with production management, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Sensory, and Product Development teams
• Plant Orientation: Conduct food safety/GMP orientation sessions when needed
• Problem Solving: Investigate and document incidents involving product/ingredient food safety issues

Special Note: One of the three 1st shift positions is specifically for a Receiving FSQ Technician who will work in the warehouse with raw products, perform premise checks (temperature monitoring in freezers and coolers), and ensure warehouse cleanliness compliance.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience: Previous FSQ, Quality Assurance, or Food Safety Technician experience in food manufacturing (REQUIRED)
• HACCP Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP as it applies to food plant operations (certification preferred)
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents (blueprints, work instructions, SOPs, schematics)
• Software Proficiency: Intermediate level skills in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Communication: Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) for accurate documentation and reporting
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions and read/understand product specifications
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid, unexpired driver's license
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various temperature environments (freezers, refrigerated areas, non-controlled areas)
• PPE Compliance: Comfortable wearing required Personal Protective Equipment including bump caps, safety glasses, ear plugs, hair/beard nets, gloves, and safety shoes/rubber boots
