Business Manager

ARG Communications. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Manager to oversee financial operations, support administrative functions, and contribute to the smooth running of our office. Financial & Payroll Management

• Process payroll accurately, including prevailing wage, commissions, deductions, and PTO
• Assist employees with 401(k) enrollment and ensure compliance with required filings
• Maintain precise records of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Manage vendor payments and customer invoicing, including follow-ups
• Handle deposits and credit card transactions; review and reconcile monthly statements
• Prepare and file payment applications, lien releases, and related contractor documentation

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare monthly and quarterly usage reports for state contracts
• Coordinate with insurance providers for audits and inspections
• Support audits from external agencies and bureaus
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation for the outside accountant

Administrative & Operational Support

• Assist with property management tasks such as tenant billing and mortgage documentation
• Administer service contracts and maintain customer database with expiration tracking
• Obtain vendor quotes and calculate customer pricing using established formulas
• Order jobsite equipment and approve office supply purchases
• Provide backup support for administrative assistant (scheduling, phones, etc.)
• Attend occasional networking events or mixers outside regular business hours
• Delegate tasks to administrative and receptionist staff once processes are mastered
• Perform other duties as assigned

🎓 Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
• Reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
• Experience with financial systems and CRM software preferred
• Knowledge of telecommunications or video surveillance industry is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management, professionalism, and customer service abilities
