Part Time: NOC DSP (Direct Support Professional) Moreno Valley / San Bernardino

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Assists with living skill development and personal care needs of the residents as directed by the Administrator and/or Residential Manager as outlined in the resident’s individualized service plan (ISP). Which may include the supervision and/or assistance of cooking, shopping, laundry, showering, feeding, dressing, toileting, and mobility support as indicated by the participant’s individual needs.
• Follow approved training guidelines and directives as provided by the company and as outlined in the participant’s ISP. Including assisting the resident with their behavioral development by implementing approved behavior plans and physical techniques when necessary, to protect the participant and others.
• Administers medications to residents as directed by the facility’s Registered Nurse and as prescribed by the resident’s physician.
• Provides written documentation such as case notes, medication documentation, special incident reports, and etc.
• Transports and accompanies residents on community outings and medical appointments using company vehicle
• Assists the Administrator and/or Recreation Manager with day-to-day household needs and requirements
• Handles resident funds and facility petty cash funds in accordance with facility policy and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
Must be able to be insurable to drive company vehicles
Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check and physical

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be comfortable with providing support with complete daily hygiene support, domestic duties—such as cooking and cleaning, and transportation (via insured company vehicles) as needed.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Summary

As a Part Time DSP (Direct Support Professional) in Moreno Valley / San Bernardino, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism in home and community settings. You will assist with ADLs, provide direct care, and support daily routines, communication, and behavior management. The role reports to a supervisor or program coordinator and emphasizes compassionate caregiving, reliability, and clear documentation. Your responsibilities include transportation, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment while upholding privacy and dignity. *To receive weekend pay differential, you must be available and able to work and be scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday shifts each week. Changes to availability after hire will effect pay differential qualification and contracted pay differential salary*
