Data Platform Engineer (Salesforce Data Cloud)
Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)
Onsite 1x per week (Tuesday–Thursday) initially
Initial 6 month contract with potential extension
We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer with strong Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) expertise to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale customer data solutions. This role focuses on implementing modern data architectures, integrating cloud platforms, and delivering scalable solutions that unify customer data across multiple systems
Working closely with Data Architects, CRM teams, and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver high-quality technical solutions that support analytics, AI, and customer engagement initiatives.
Required Experience
- 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or Cloud Data Development.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data Cloud).
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Strong SQL and Python development skills.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating enterprise data platforms.
- Knowledge of modern data architecture concepts, including:
- Lakehouse architecture
- Real-time data processing
- Experience with APIs, integration patterns, and streaming technologies such as Kafka or Amazon Kinesis.
- Familiarity with Salesforce development technologies including Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), or MuleSoft.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise data models.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must have current US work authorization (no sponsorship available).
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant.
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Industry Clouds.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms such as Salesforce Einstein, AWS SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI.
- Experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics, Power BI, or Looker.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Information
- Hybrid travel requirement to Indianapolis during the initial phase of the project.
- Candidates must have current US work authorization.
