This is a contingent, project-based position expected to begin around January 2026 with a 12-month period of performance (additional option years are available) and pending contract award.
The ServiceNow ITOM Senior Developer will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow ITOM Visibility, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB integrations to establish a unified and accurate view of enterprise infrastructure. This role will develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems containing IT asset and infrastructure data such as servers, switches, firewalls, and cloud assets. The developer will evaluate out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality to deliver low-code/no-code solutions aligned with Hanford requirements, while ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Additional responsibilities include supporting the development and validation of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) capabilities, automating workflows using Flow Designer, and developing performance analytics dashboards to provide actionable insights into asset utilization, lifecycle, and compliance.
The position also supports Software and Hardware Asset Management (SAM/HAM) module configurations, software quality assurance (SQA) documentation, testing, and validation activities. The developer will work closely with stakeholders, architects, and administrators to ensure the ServiceNow solution meets organizational objectives, provides a seamless data migration from legacy systems, and maintains high standards of quality and compliance across all deliverables.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in ITSM/ITOM development on the ServiceNow platform
- ITOM Certified Implementation Specialist certification
- Proven hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB Health
- Experience configuring HAM and/or SAM modules (optional but preferred)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure components servers, databases, networks, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience designing and implementing CMDB architectures and data models for large enterprise environments
- Ability to integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and IntegrationHub
- Experience in building Performance Analytics dashboards and Flow Designer workflows
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially in complex enterprise environments
- U.S. Citizenship required (federal contract requirement)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
