What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Member position at Arepa Zone LLC?
At Arepa Zone, we want all our employees to be well-rounded and learn all the stations: from cashier, to line cook, to grill, we want you to feel comfortable and for you to be able to complete all tasks.

Starting wage: $15 per hour, plus cash and credit card tips

Duties and Requirements
- Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, including nights and weekends
- Flexible schedule
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, and adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate knowledge of our menu and be able to answer customer questions at any given time
- Ensure consistent menu execution
- Participate in a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Communicate with other teammates in order to create an enjoyable workplace
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Show up to work on time and take pride in your work
Other Requirements
- Ability to be on your feet working while clocked in, unless on break
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to handle knives and other potentially dangerous kitchen utensils
- Proficiency in the English language (must be able to hold a conversation); knowledge of Spanish highly preferred
Not required but preferred:
- Prior restaurant experience
- Experience with Square POS system
- Food Handler’s license (ServSafe)
- TIPS Certified
