Role Description
The Client Accounting Specialist is a full-time remote role based. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day client accounting activities, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, processing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledgers. The specialist will use accounting software to perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, and bill pay in alignment with client needs and Arena’s standards. Responsibilities include supporting fractional CFO engagements by providing timely financial reports, assisting with loan preparation and KPI tracking, and responding to client inquiries regarding financial data. The role also involves collaborating with internal team members to improve processes, ensure compliance with accounting best practices, and contribute to clear, insightful financial analysis for clients.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Financial Statements and foundational Finance concepts to support accurate reporting and client decision-making.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and experience recording Journal Entries (Accounting) and maintaining general ledgers.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting fractional CFO services.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, and bill payment processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across in-office and remote settings.
- Experience in small or medium-sized business accounting or client service roles is beneficial.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with cash flow management, budgeting, and KPI reporting is a plus.
