Position Summary:
The role of a Drilling Regulatory Technician would consist of helping the Sr. Regulatory Drilling Specialist with day to day regulatory and administrative tasks that are requested to ensure drilling compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare MODU Emergency Evacuation Plans
- Prepare Rig Books for MODUs for upcoming well operations
- Draft and submit Well Directional/Log letters
- Under the direction of the Sr. Drilling Specialist, draft and submit varying BSEE permits with their electronic database center (i.e. weekly Activity Reports, Rig Moves, End of Operations Reports, Well Potential Reports, or Bottomhole Pressure Surveys.)
- Prepare OCS Plans Forms for upcoming DOCD submittals
- Track and maintain permit submittal and project due dates
- Update, maintain, and assist in organizing regulatory network files and other documentation requirements
- Draft letters or notification emails as needed per the workload of Sr. Regulatory Specialist
- Attend meetings, take notes, and prepare status reports as needed
- Some travel to accompany the Sr. Regulatory Specialist to BSEE District Offices
- Ability to be on call after business hours and weekends, as needed
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Willingness and ability to conduct research and understand oil and gas regulations
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and maintain status of projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain flexibility when changes occur
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, professional communication skills
- Able to prepare and present in PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Preferred BA, BS, or associate’s degree in any discipline
