Contracts Administrator- 120-150k
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to support construction operations by developing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts while helping reduce risk and protect the interests of the organization. This person will play a key role in ensuring contracts and related documentation comply with applicable local, state, and federal requirements, while also supporting executive leadership on contract related matters.
This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the Vice President of Finance and executive leadership team.
Position Overview
The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for overseeing contract administration across construction projects, including the preparation, review, negotiation, and tracking of contract documents. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the construction or contracting industry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and issue required construction documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, insurance certificates, and lien or notice releases
• Review contract terms and provide recommendations to management and executive leadership
• Negotiate contract terms with clients, subcontractors, and vendors in coordination with executive leadership
• Review subcontractor and vendor proposals and ensure appropriate revisions and protections are incorporated
• Manage and maintain master owner contract agreements and audit current contract files for accuracy and compliance
• Renew annual AIA contract licensing and assign users as needed
• Prepare and submit documentation for new licenses and license renewals
• Help ensure bonded projects remain compliant with bonding requirements on a monthly or as needed basis
• Provide administrative and contractual support to executive leadership as needed
• Assist with training and mentoring team members to support overall team development
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• 10 years of contract administration experience within the construction or contracting industry
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, contract language, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
• Responsive, detail oriented, and dependable with strong follow through
• Able to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
Preferred Background
• Experience supporting construction project teams, finance teams, or executive leadership
• Familiarity with AIA contract documents, bonded projects, and licensing requirements
• Comfortable working across subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
