Maintenance SupervisorPosition Summary
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility in Hastings, Nebraska. This role is responsible for leading a skilled maintenance team while ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient production.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related equipment issues.
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production to maximize operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards.
- Manage work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels for spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Assist with capital improvement projects and equipment installations.
- Train and mentor maintenance personnel while promoting continuous improvement.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree is a plus.
- 5 years of industrial maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and industrial controls.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or paper, packaging, or converting environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong computer skills and experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems.
