About the job:
Area Residential Care is excited to offer a newly created full-time opportunity for a dedicated nurse that wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities!
You will support our individuals by overseeing their medical care, developing a knowledge of applicable regulations and agency policies, and building positive relationships with nursing staff, families/guardians and fellow employees. .
Highly Qualified candidates must be able to maintain positive relationships and effective communication to coordinate medical care for our programs. The case load is very manageable with only quarterly assessments for supported individuals.

Schedule:
First Shift, Monday-Friday with on call rotation. ( some flexibility with hours depending on our individual’s needs.)

Qualifications/Requirements:
- RN/LPN currently licensed to practice in Iowa
- Requires excellent verbal, written and computer skills and strong organizational skills
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must develop positive, cooperative relationships with agency staff, medical staff, and individuals’ parents/guardians.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and occasional lift up to 50 pounds
- Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets agency authorized driver criteria
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc..)

The selected candidate is required to successfully pass a background check and complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen as a condition of employment.
