Overview:
Successful, well-established B2B media company seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee its accounting function and office management for its magazine publishing, digital services, and conference event business. This role requires a highly organized self-starter with strong expertise in accounting software and a solid understanding of corporate accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounts receivable activity, scheduling accounts payable payments, preparing weekly and monthly financial reports, maintaining financial records, and interfacing with the company’s accountant.

Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice and bill processing, oversee collections and payments, and interface with clients when needed.
Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations using QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools.
Analyze accounts for discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions through double-entry bookkeeping practices.
Support internal audits and coordinate with external accountants when necessary.
Utilize technical accounting skills to improve efficiency of financial operations and reporting systems.
Requirements:
Recent 3–5 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, accounting, and 2–3 years of office management.
Extensive knowledge and skilled use of accounting software including QuickBooks and Sage.
Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, account analysis, and bank reconciliation.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Meticulous recordkeeping and organizational skills.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation including accounts payable/receivable and account analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work experience in publishing, advertising, and/or business media.
College degree (2-year or 4-year) in business, accounting, administration, or a related field.
