Position: Marketing
Immediate supervisor: Executive Director
Position summary: This role involves educating the community and promoting the agency’s services through public relations and engagement with various stakeholders.
Marketing Essential Functions
· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies to promote the agency and its services.
· Serve as a liaison to the public, community groups, healthcare organizations, and elected officials to strengthen awareness and partnerships.
· Assist in developing and managing the agency’s annual marketing and communications budget, departmental goals, and fundraising initiatives.
· Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, foundations, and individual donors.
· Coordinate and support the agency’s participation in health fairs, community outreach events, and special exhibitions.
· Oversee the development, design, and maintenance of the agency’s resource directory and other publications.
· Attend relevant workshops and training sessions to support effective program planning and operations.
· Prepare reports and collect statistical data to ensure accountability and support strategic planning.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and professional presentation abilities.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and maintain effective working relationships with diverse audiences, including business professionals, community members, and older adults.
· Knowledge of government programs, residents’ rights, and available benefits, along with strong advocacy skills.
· Demonstrated empathy and sensitivity to the needs and challenges of elderly and nursing home residents.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and coordinate events effectively.
· Ability to travel as required and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
· Reliable work history with strong attendance and professionalism.
Preferred Job Specifications
Prior experience in business, marketing, or communication, with an understanding of basic non-profit design and operation to meet the goals and objectives, and to secure untapped resources for the provision of services for clients. Knowledge of basic computer operations, good phone skills, experience in basic clerical functions and experience with the aging population.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
