The Area Agency on Aging of Broward County (AAABC) is a nonprofit organization serving Broward County's senior residents, age 60 or older. The AAABC plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates programs; funds services; and is the prime Advocate for residents of Broward County, Florida, 60 years of age or older. We are your one-stop source of information regarding services in Broward County, Florida, for seniors, persons with severe and persistent mental illness, ages 18 and over, their families, and caregivers.
The Medicaid Wavier Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive screening on Medicaid probable individuals on the Assessed Priority Consumer List (APCL) who are not active in a case managed program and for guiding individuals through the application process. Training will be provided to passionate individual.
The qualified candidate must have either a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, an associate's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year experience as a caseworker, case manager, intake specialist, or hold a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience as a caseworker, case manager, intake specialist, or experience in performing human services related work.
After successful on-site training of 2 -3 months, the position will become Hybrid/Remote.
