The Director of Outreach and Development will function as a strategic business partner reporting to the CEO, helping formulate strategy and executing various business initiatives to include meeting the needs of older adults by closing the gaps in the service delivery network. The Director will identify and establish authentic long-term relationships with community-based organizations, Commercial Health Plans, Health Systems, and other service delivery organizations while also strengthening current relationships. The Director will identify, develop, and pursue various business opportunities and partnerships in accordance with AgeWays growth initiatives. This role is responsible for the creation of project plans and objectives, identifying and tracking critical path activities and funding sources, interdependencies, risk and mitigation, and scenario planning. This position may prepare and present strategic business presentations to Agency leadership, board members, and shareholders.

Duties include:

  • Explore, evaluate, and propose new business initiatives that reflect the mission of the agency—developing business models/plans, while securing external funding, grant, and other methods of financial support. When possible, create professional partnerships with other organizations to further business opportunities that will be beneficial to the agency.
  • Generate reports, presentations and maintain communications with the CEO, Board of Directors, and shareholders to keep abreast of various community outreach and development initiatives.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute contracts in alignment with agency initiatives and best business practices. Own the complete partnership cycle from relationship initiation through contract close. Ensures financial and strategic goals are met according to key performance indicators.
  • Identify, establish relationships, and partner with community organizations that share a business model which aligns with AgeWays. Connect AgeWays with individuals, corporations and foundations with a goal to cultivate monetary and in-kind donations and brand awareness in the community. Pursue grant opportunities that align with AgeWays and project objectives.

Job Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree minimum in Healthcare Admin, Business Development, Public Health, or other related fields of study. Masters degree preferred.
  • Must have 5 years of minimum business development, project management and outreach experience.
  • Must be self-directed, results driven, assertive, analytical thinker, strategic problem solver, detail oriented, data-driven decisionmaker, financially astute with the ability to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Ability to present to diverse audiences from community groups to health plan executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. Able to effectively interact with all levels of employees, external stakeholders, public officials, and top level executives is necessary (politically savvy).
  • Able to establish and develop new effective community relationships that supports business initiatives.
  • Possesses exceptional presentation abilities as well as leading results-driven meetings.
  • Function in a highly demanding position, strong multitasking ability, meeting deadlines and delivering a high-quality product.
  • Intermediate Microsoft 360 skills required.
