Area 51 Smoke Shop is looking for sales associates to join our team at our stores located in the Chesterfield and Powhatan area. We are located at 11525 Midlothian Tpke, 6733 Lake Harbour Dr and 2470 Anderson Highway. Our ideal potential employee is someone who is engaged, punctual, and self-motivated.
Qualifications
- MUST be 21 years old or older
- MUST be able to work nights and weekends as needed
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Able to retain and relay product information
- Must be able to communicate well with customers as well as excel with verbal skills
- Able to problem solve as issues arise (even under pressure)
- Capable of multitasking quickly and efficiently
- Background knowledge of basic computer skills such as ability to comprehend certain software programs (not required, but is preferred)
- Able to stay on your feet for long periods of time as well as able to lift and move packages (some as heavy as 20 lbs.)
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and offer them assistance
- Directs customers by escorting them to our products.
- Advises customers by providing information on products.
- Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
- Use judgment to solve customer problems
- Maintains scheduling commitments
