Architectural Project Manager - Millwork

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Architectural Project Manager specializing in Millwork to lead and coordinate complex architectural projects from conception through completion. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reading and deciphering architectural drawings and specifications.
• Material takeoffs & scope discovery for commercial millwork projects.
• Communicate with general contractors on projects to qualify scope and make sure proposal includes all necessary products needed.
• Update quotes as revisions are submitted.
• Acquire 3rd party factory quotes for all required material.
• Accurately price material costs and generate customer quotes.
• Provide written estimates to potential customers.
• Conduct diligent follow ups on all estimates, and track results closely for marketing analysis.
• Provide detailed hand-off files to our project managers on successful bids.
• Visit job sites when required and needed
• Collaborate with project teams for estimating and project handoffs
• Participate in project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment with the production team
• Maintain vendor pricing updates and ensure accurate cost databases
• Adhere to AWI specifications and integrate specialty materials like veneers into project scopes
• Develop comprehensive project estimates and proposals within required timeframes
• Collaborate with team members during project kickoff meetings
• Plan and monitor projects from order entry through final installation

Requirements:

• Review architectural drawings and specifications to create project scope
• Enter Work Orders for production
• Shop drawings review
• Develop budgets & schedules
• Project submittals
• Work with production team to coordinate scheduling and fabrication
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors including scope and pricing
• Coordinate with customers, architects, and general contractors
• Generating change orders
• Manage installation
• Conduct job site visits to field measure, review details and scope accuracy with customer Preparation of monthly billing/requisitions
• Manage multiple projects concurrently

Required Skills/Abilities:

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial millwork industry for restaurants and office spaces.
• Innergy software knowledge not required but highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office software environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to read contract documents, including architectural drawings and specifications.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Proficient in the English language.

Education and Experience:

• College Degree in Architecture
• Computer skills, including work with various estimating programs.
• Able to read architectural drawings and specifications
• Technical knowledge of millwork fabrication.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects.
• Able to multi-task
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Exceptional planning and follow up skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to work well with others, both inside and outside the organization;
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
