Assembly Technician

Overview
We are seeking an Assembly Technician with heavy soldering capabilities and strong assembly skills. This role focuses on the assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic assemblies, including the rework of surface mount assemblies in accordance with IPC-610. While inspection is part of the role, the primary focus is on high-level soldering and assembly. Anyone with familiarity with tuning is a huge plus. Please note: A soldering test is required as part of our interview process.
What You'll Do
*
Perform any combination of tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by reading work orders and following production drawings or sample assemblies.
*
Execute assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic assemblies, ensuring work meets IPC-610 workmanship standards.
*
Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, and color-coding.
*
Conduct on-line go-no-go testing and inspection using magnifying devices, microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment.
*
Carry out basic soldering and rework of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) components.
What We're Looking For
*
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
*
1–2 years of electronic assembly and inspection experience is desired.
*
Heavy soldering capabilities (through-hole and SMT) are essential; candidates must pass a soldering test during the interview.
*
Familiarity with tuning electronic components is a major plus.
*
Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral production instructions.
*
Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, cutters), soldering irons, solder pots, hot plates, and glue dispensing equipment.
