Position Summary
The Sales Quotation Administrator is responsible for managing the end-to-end quotation process, ensuring accurate pricing, product configurations, and alignment with customer requirements. As a temporary coverage role, the primary focus is to maintain seamless workflow continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and manage customer quotations accurately and within required timelines.
- Review and analyze requests for quotation (RFQs) to ensure completeness of information.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to define product specifications and pricing structures.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to obtain cost estimates and lead times.
- Maintain and update pricing databases to ensure consistency and data integrity.
- Track, follow up, and provide necessary revisions or clarifications for submitted quotes.
- Provide administrative support and data entry for sales representatives regarding quoting activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable industry standards.
- Maintain organized documentation to ensure a smooth transition back to the permanent team member upon their return.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of experience in sales support, quoting, or administrative roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials (e.g., cable/electro-mechanical assemblies).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and experience with ERP/CRM systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Ability to learn company-specific pricing structures and products quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.
- Internal: Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Purchasing departments.
- External: Suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Primarily office-based work involving extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting as required by the office environment.
