Essential Functions
- Perform thorough QC inspections per the part-specific quality inspection plan.
- Verify that all measuring equipment is calibrated and in proper working order.
- Support the company’s metrology and calibration programs.
- Process and document nonconforming materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist in product failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Participate in new product trials by collecting, compiling, and reporting inspection data to the Quality Engineer.
- Provide input to product validation processes to meet customer requirements.
- Actively contribute to a safe and organized work environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years of quality experience specifically within plastic injection molding.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with plastic injection molding quality attributes, defect types, and statistical sampling plans.
- Measurement Tools: Proficient in the use of handheld measurement tools and gages. Experience with CMMs, vision systems, or optical measurement equipment is a major plus.
- Blueprint Reading: Basic understanding of engineering part drawings. Knowledge of GD&T is preferred.
- Software: Working knowledge of MS Excel for data entry and tracking.
- Certification: ASQ certification (CMI or CQT) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on precision.
- Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines.
